Cisco Launches AI Networking Chips for AI Supercomputers; to Take on Broadcom, Marvell :

Cisco Systems on Tuesday launched networking chips for AI supercomputers that would  contend with immolations from Broadcom and Marvell Technology.   The chips are being tested by five of the six major  pall providers, Cisco said, without naming the  enterprises. crucial  pall players include Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, which together dominate the  request for  pall computing, according to Bofa Global Research.   The rising fashionability of AI  operations  similar as ChatGPT, which is powered by a network of specialised chips called  plates recycling units( GPUs), has made the speed at which these individual chips communicate extremely important.   Cisco is a major supplier of networking  outfit including ethernet switches, which connect  bias  similar as computers, laptops, routers,  waiters and printers to a original area network.

It said the  rearmost generation of its ethernet switches, called G200 and G202, have double the performance, compared with the  former generation, and can connect up to 32,000 GPUs together.  " G200 & G202 are going to be the most  important networking chips in the  request fueling AI/ ML workloads enabling the most power-effective network," Cisco fellow and formerly  top  mastermind Rakesh Chopra said.   Cisco said the chips could help in carrying out AI and machine  literacy tasks with 40 percent smaller switches and a  lower pause, while being  further power effective.   In April, Broadcom  blazoned the Jericho3- AI chip that can connect up to 32,000 GPU chips together.
