Huawei and Ericsson  subscribe across-licensing agreement on 5G patents

Huawei  blazoned a long- term global patentcross-licensing agreement with Swedish company Ericsson. The  cooperation covers  norms  similar as 3GPP, ITU, IEEE, and IETF for 3G, 4G, and 5G cellular technologies.   The agreement covers deals of both network  structure and consumer  bias, and the companies will be  suitable to use each other's patented standardized technologies.   Huawei and Ericsson  subscribe across-licensing agreement on essential telecommunication  norms  Alan Fan, Head of the Intellectual Property Department at Huawei,  reflected both companies value each other's IP and such an agreement creates a “ stronger patent  terrain ”. The  cooperation is also a testament that intellectual property should be admired and  defended, he added.   Huawei adds that the it  outgunned the European Patent Office's  aspirant ranking with over 4,500 filed patents.   Huawei and Ericsson  subscribe across-licensing agreement on essential telecommunication  norms  Christina Petersson, CIPO at Ericsson, stated this “ balanced approach ” is in the interest of both parties and for the benefit of consumers and enterprises  far and wide. The Swedish company expects the  profit from  empowering deals in 2023 to reach SEK 11 billion(  nearly$ 1 billion). Its press release stated Ericsson holds over 60,000 patents and is in a  commanding position as a 5G  seller.
