Samsung Galaxy M44 appears as an international debut in South Korea under surprising chipset

  Samsung has just made the Galaxy M44 official for its home market of South Korea, though not under that name. Over there it's called Galaxy Jump 3, but it should be the same phone that we'll( hopefully) soon see internationally as the M44- the" M44" part of the SM- M446KZKAKTC model number gives it down as an M44 under another name.   The design is exactly what you'd expect from a Samsungmid-ranger in late 2023, with three camera circle- islands on the back and a  indirect LED flash to the right in between the topmost and the middle cameras. The screen has a V or U shaped notch( we still can not tell the difference) and a significantly thicker bottom bezel than the rest.  All par for the course,  also. 

  What is not in any way usual to see in such a device is the chipset it's powered by- the Snapdragon 888. That SoC was introduced in 2020, and we can only assume that Samsung had a many lying around collecting dust in a  storehouse  nearly and eventually decided to put them to good use now.  Those who are not fans of the Exynos 1xxx line will  surely breathe a sigh of relief, as indeed if the 888 is three years old, it was the loftiest- end chip of its time in the Android world, so performance should be  further than you'd  typically expect from an M4x device.   

  The Galaxy M44 launched in South Korea pairs that chip with 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of expandable storage, a6.58" 1080x2408 PLS LCD screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP main  hinder camera flanked by two 2 MP sensors, a 13 MP selfie snapper, and a 5,000 mAh battery. It measures167.7 x 78 x9.1 mm and weighs 216g.

  Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, high performance   A  famed tipster on X shared some  racy details surrounding the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, which is rather odd because we have  slightly indeed seen the  lately released Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in action. But the tipster's leaks so far have been  substantially accurate, so we've a reason to believe the report.  According to@Tech_Reve, Qualcomm will  formerly again rely solely on TSMC for making the 3nm- based Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset coming year. Reportedly, the chip designer has decided to bet on TSMC  formerly again because it's planning to use custom Oryon CPU cores and does not want to compromise power and efficiency with the new set of cores. You could say that Qualcomm just is not convinced with Samsung's yields or performance.   still, a binary chip sourcing strategy is still on the cards for 2025 when the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 comes out, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy will be produced at Samsung's foundry
